In the Bible story of the 10 lepers healed by Jesus, only one returned to thank Jesus for his healing. In our own fast paced lives, it’s so easy to forget thankfulness and so common to focus on negative things. Overlooking anything that is not problematic is forgetting all the ways God has blessed us. Regardless of life’s challenges, we each have gifts from God and places to apply our gratitude to Him. One question we can ask is: How often do we remember to stop, turn around and thank God for His healing, His salvation or His blessings in our lives? Gratitude is good for the soul. It connects us to God and a heart of thanksgiving can change our whole outlook in life. Lets enter this Thanksgiving holiday with right hearts. Come join us, Sunday, Nov. 22, as we remember to stop and thank God.
UPCOMING EVENT ~ Sun, Dec. 6, Goodbye and Thank You party for the Davies. Come help us send our beloved Marc and Julie off to Santa Monica with our blessings and gratitude. We will be meeting in the church after the service.
GRATITUDE IN ACTION ~ New Hope needs some help with Sunday services. It is a great way to give back and to come to know other New Hopers. Please consider helping in two of the following areas:
1. Steve needs 2-3 people to work the sound board once or twice a month. He will train you. If you have a good ear and want to help, contact Steve by clicking here.
2. The Ambiance Team or AMB SQUAD (if you're a guy) ~The Ambiance team exists to create a consistent, welcoming, and worshipful environment at New Hope each Sunday. Team members can help with welcoming people to our worship service, ushering, helping people connect to others, and/or with decor (both seasonal - e.g. Christmas - and weekly).
****There will be an important informational meeting this Sunday, 11/22, 6:15-6:30 p.m., for those who would like to know more. Or they can contact Edie by clicking here.
